wolf
tyler the creator, 2013
recommended for martin
since tyler, the creator is your favorite artist, i wonder if you’ve listened to wolf. i think its creative production and deeper meaning beneath the shock value would really resonate with you, especially “colossus.” it perfectly matches the cortis ideology of coloring outside the lines and could be really inspiring to you as a producer and songwriter.
content note: explicit language, sexual references, drug use
wor$t girl in america
slayyyter, 2026
recommended for james
i feel like james would looove this album!! slayyyter’s charisma reminds me of james, she is such an amazing artist, coer should check her out too ^•^
content note: drug references, sexual content, suicidal ideation
lips like sugar
déyyess, 2025
recommended for seonghyeon
i think he’d like this type of airy voice similar to clairo or shelly as he’s previously recommended as well as some rock influences!
pendulum
fka twigs, 2014
recommended for all of cortis
i want cortis to know that it's really lonely trying to exceed your expectations when you don't know what people expect you to be; i want them to figure out what works out for them before ever listening to anyone else. they're unique, and that's what i love about them.
content note: explicit language
drowning love
yuki yamoto, 2016
recommended for juhoon
drowning love follows teenage model natsume and the mysterious kou as they bond over their yearning for freedom while navigating romance, heartache and who they want to become. i think juhoon would enjoy its calming visuals and soundtrack, plus his shared background in modeling with the main character.
content note: sexual violence, stalking, suicide, physical violence, abusive relationships
mtv unplugged
zoé, 2011
recommended for all of cortis
zoé, a mexican alt-rock band, left an indelible mark on mtv unplugged with this concert. the instruments, vocals, lyrics and atmosphere feel like an embrace for the soul, and as an artist, i believe its creative process could really inspire cortis.
the air that i breathe
maroon 5, 2010
recommended for martin
this song suits martin so much! the song has that soft, nostalgic, slightly yearning pop rock sound. it’s not overly dramatic, and u can just feel that it’s the right amount of romantic, which i feel like martin would enjoy??
ctrl
sza, 2017
recommended for all of cortis
i’m sure they’re already familiar with sza, but this album has no skips and might be my favorite from her. its raw stories about insecurity, self-worth, love and growing up are things we’ve all related to at one time or another.
content note: explicit lyrics, sexual content, drug use
heaven
mieko kawakami, 2009
recommended for juhoon
juhoon loves to read, and when i finished this book, i felt a great emptiness and happiness at the same time because i had never read anything like it before. it’s a powerful novel with a special sensitivity, exploring loneliness, finding someone who understands you and how even the smallest conversations can mean so much.
content note: severe bullying, physical violence, suicidal ideation
j is for joon
ms*gloom, 2026
recommended for seonghyeon
back when cortis first debuted, i saw seonghyeon recommend a lot of electroclash albums like effie, bassvictim, and snow strippers so everytime i listen to this album, all i can think of is that he would really enjoy it as the vibes are very similar. this is just a perfect album as well, my top this year !!!
for emma, forever ago
bon iver, 2008
recommended for martin
i think martin would love for emma, forever ago because it feels like the same kind of alchemy as blue lips. justin vernon turned solitude into a language only he could have made, much like martin transformed his experiences as a trainee into something hauntingly beautiful, not erased or explained, but given a melody and allowed to live forever.
tokio blues / norwegian wood
haruki murakami, 1987
recommended for keonho
with references and musical tastes such as nirvana or radiohead, keonho connects very well with sound atmospheres full of melancholy and emotional exploration. this novel offers an intense visual narrative about youth, music, and memory that would fit with his personal creative universe.
content note: adult/minor relationship, sexual content, suicidal ideation
the second mother
anna muylaert, 2015
recommended for all of cortis
it’s a film where you can feel what the characters are feeling as well as how social class inequality is present in the daily lives of those who live with it and how it affects them.
content note: drug use
passenger princess
bayli, 2025

this music may contain hope.
raye, 2026
recommended for all of cortis
this album includes a mix of genres (jazz, cabaret, r&b...) that create a very unique and amazing sound. i believe it is an album that can be enjoyed both by cortis and coers
don’t be in love
liana cincotti, 2022

it’s a good romance novel that I think they might like. it’s a great book, very chill to read and got me out of my reading slump.
