why they might enjoy it:
i think martin would love for emma, forever ago because it feels like the same kind of alchemy as blue lips. bon iver (justin vernon) went into a cabin for three months, alone with everything that had happened to him, and somehow turned that solitude into a language only he could have made. and martin wrote blue lips while he was still a trainee, already turning whatever he was feeling and witnessing into something so hauntingly beautiful. there’s something almost miraculous about artists discovering that experience can be transformed this way: not erased, not explained, but given a melody and allowed to live forever.
