am i wrong
anderson paak/schoolboy q, 2015
recommended for all of cortis
such a groovy song with a catchy beat, and the artists’ voices fit it perfectly. i think they’d love its carefree, windows-down, “hey! life isn’t so bad” vibe.
content note: explicit lyrics, mature themes

makoto matsushita , 1981

city pop is just peak music, and hearing cortis sample it would be genius omg.
gautauba
plan b, 2002
recommended for all of cortis
i’ve seen that cortis loves exploring music, fashion, and more, so i’d love for them to discover old-school reggaeton from the 2000s–2010s. it’s always a vibe and impossible not to dance to, just don’t focus too much on the lyrics.
content note: sexual themes, alcohol references
cuts and bruises
inhaler, 2023
recommended for keonho
i feel like keonho would enjoy this type of vibe that is more rock/indie :)
everything you’ve come to expect
the last shadow puppets, 2016

sound inspired by david bowie and scott walker. the artist is actually a duo: alex turner (from the arctic monkeys) and miles kane (the rascals). top tier album trusttttt
content note: sexual themes, substance use, mature themes
lost in starlight
han ji-won, 2025
recommended for martin
an astronaut dreaming of joining the mars mission and a musician who lost her spark find each other while facing their own dilemmas. it shows how love and passion can be pursued without sacrificing one for the other. as someone who can’t let go of my passion, it moved me, and knowing how much love and passion martin has, i think it would resonate with him ❤
content note: mature themes, suggestive content, language, peril
cutie honey
hideaki anno, 2004
recommended for james
like most of anno's movies, this one is fun and heartfelt and has an out of left field anime feel to it. the most amazing part is probably the stop motion battles. i feel like these creative visuals could inspired them for their videos and it seems right up james' alley!
content note: suggestive content, violence
oye mi amor
maná, 1992
recommended for martin
ever since martin mentioned listening to latin music, i couldn’t help but imagine him enjoying latin rock. maná was and still is such an iconic rock band in my eyes. this song will never get old <3

rosalia, 2025
recommended for all of cortis
all of her work is so beautifully developed but i love love love this project + its overall sound! really cool production choices and use of theming…the usage of different languages throughout the album has always been so cool to me and i think its a good example of how music can expose us to different cultures
content note: strong language, mature themes
mononoke
kenji nakamura, 2007
recommended for james
one of the best anime with one season imo. the art style is insane; it feels like watching a theatre play, but it's animated. the storytelling pulls you in and has you questioning things alongside the medicine seller. do yourself a favour and watch it!!
content note: abuse, violence, trauma, disturbing imagery
adventures of huckleberry finn
mark twain, 1884
recommended for all of cortis
cortis would love this book because its rebellious spirit of breaking rules and forging your own path perfectly matches the cotl ethos. huck finn’s journey toward freedom mirrors their self-produced roots, skate-punk energy, brotherhood, and authentic self-expression.
content note: intense racism, frequent racial slurs, child abuse, physical violence
tu te imaginas
de la guetto, 2008
recommended for all of cortis
even though it’s from 2008, the pinnacle of reggaeton, de la ghetto has more of an r&b vibe that i think cortis would enjoy. we don’t focus too much on the lyrics, we just vibe. that’s the rule of reggaeton, and it fits cortis perfectly.
content note: drug references, suggestive themes
chasing summer
sir, 2019

peak music. james would love this album :)
content note: explicit language, sexual themes, substance use, mature relationship themes

this song has a powerful message about remembering the past and not forgetting the people who fought for justice.
happyend
neo sora, 2024
recommended for all of cortis
a film about youth pushing against the status quo and standing up for what they believe in. the protagonists are into music namely djing and there's a lot of running around :) a staple of cortis media
