this song gives off pure summer night vibes. the lyrics talk about over coming difficulties and embracing the wounds which probably whole heal but you've come to accept yourself. my high school jam fr

youra, 2020

recommended for all of cortis

it’s kind of indie r&b with really nice instrumentals that i feel like they’d enjoy on a chill day. youra has some tracks that are perfect for when you just need to let go of everything around you and rest.

partyof2, 2025

recommended for all of cortis

i chose this song because i think it reflects cortis’ growing fame and the different reactions that come with it. i like how it explores both sides of fame, including dealing with negativity and criticism that isn’t always deserved, while still just being a really good song.

content note: explicit language, aggressive themes, violence references

nori and kori, 2026

recommended for martin

an underground electronic and rap fusion about not acting flashy, fake, or like someone you’re not. martin often talks about the importance of being authentic, so i think this song would be right up his alley, especially with its strong beat and well-written lyrics.

partyof2 is a hip hop duo with immense potential. this album is a gem and i love poser, so i especially recommend that track. their pen game is impressive as well and i'm certain martin would enjoy them.

around when “mention me” was teased, a coer recommended this song and i still haven’t gotten enough of it. i can boldly say it’s a masterpiece, and the fusion of classical strings with hip hop beats feels like something martin would really be drawn to.

i have so many good things to say about the song. from the production and lyricism to the raw depiction of mental health struggles and the challenge to not let it overcome you.

from the album that many consider to be one of the pioneers for rage. i chose this as a rec for martin as the adlibs here are really cool.

hozier, 2019

recommended for coer

i love the special edition of “wasteland, baby!” because the additional songs make it even better, and hozier’s voice, instrumentals, and deeply meaningful lyrics are so beautiful and moving.

from the title to the meaning, this song feels really fitting for cortis because it’s about someone or something bringing color and meaning into an otherwise dull world. since cortis is all about coloring outside the lines, it also reminds me of how their music brings that same creativity and color into coers’ lives.

it’s a polish rock band, and i think martin would like this song.

conan gray, 2025

recommended for coer

from the very first chords, the song feels like an oversized cardigan on a chilly autumn evening. it carries a quiet kind of sadness, like riding a late-night subway, watching the city lights, and replaying conversations that will never happen again.

content note: emotional abuse, explicit language, substance use

rap classic, very true meaning, lyrical depth while not being vulgar. also lauryn hills vocals are heavenly and provide more immersion in the song.

i find the similar titles funny but quite iconic. both songs reference capitalism in different ways. cortis' version has more of their personal stories.

cage the elephant, 2017

recommended for martin

the original song is great, but i love this version more. there's a rawness to it that is captivating. psychedelic rock is an amazing genre. the song's lyrics urges people to see people for who they truly are, underneath false perceptions.

i’m honestly madly in love with jeff’s music, and his songs mean so much to me that i’d love for one of the members to hear them. maybe james would be especially drawn to the lyrics on this album, but i could see any of them connecting with it.

martin mentioned edith piaf in the paris vlog, so i'd recommend this song. i find the meaning of the song would resonate with him, and everyone too, to let go of the past and live without regrets.
