love.jones
they., 2025
recommended for all of cortis
this album got recommended to on my spotify since i listen to a lot of rnb and i immediately fell in love with it. i’m sure the cortis members will like it a lot too. <3
content note: romantic themes, sensual content, complex relationships
just for me
pinkpantheress, 2013
recommended for seonghyeon
what i have heard from seonghyeonie’s personal music taste this specific song (most of pinkpantheress song in fact) really reminds me of him and i reckon he will enjoy it as much as i do!
content note: stalking, obsessive behavior, emotional distress
the getaway
the strike, 2026
recommended for martin
i think it's a song he'd enjoy listening to while on the road or on the plane :) i also feel like he would relate to the song really well.
worldwide underground
erykah badu, 2003
recommended for all of cortis
i think they’d really like the album’s mix of hip hop, soul, r&b, and funk, plus collabs with icons like queen latifah. she’s also such an inspiring artist, using her music to speak about the struggles of black people and make strong sociopolitical critiques.
content note: explicit language, mature themes, adult references
valencia
yeek, 2021
recommended for all of cortis
i first thought keonho would love this album, and yeek in general, because to me his sound feels like a mix of dominic fike and brent faiyaz. the members all have their own tastes, but there’s enough overlap that i could see the rest of cortis enjoying it too.
call it fate, call it karma
the strokes, 2013
recommended for juhoon
jju must know the strokes, and this song strips away their signature gritty rock for a dreamy, lo-fi sound that feels like a 1940s jazz lounge record. recorded during a period of heavy internal conflict, it was meant as a quiet goodbye to their fans and each other, with julian casablancas’ fragile falsetto capturing that feeling of helplessness and moving on.
love you like
derivakat, 2025
recommended for coer
love you like is a calming song talking about how a person doesn’t express love in ways like poems or other forms of writing, while also talking about other ways they might express love to a significant other.
for youuu
marq, 2024
recommended for seonghyeon
since “earrings” by malcolm todd was playing in one of their bts videos and seonghyeon has mentioned loving steve lacy, i think he’d really like this artist too. they’re in a similar indie pop, rock, and alt r&b lane, and he’s still pretty underrated :)
half a person
the smiths, 1987
recommended for juhoon
i know juhoon loves the beatles. half a person was the song that made me fall in love with the smiths and it has the calm but haunting and thoughtful lyrics that i think juhoon would appreciate :)
the sea
morcheeba, 1998
recommended for keonho
i was listening to this track by morcheeba and keonho came to mind. it's all about escaping the daily rush and finding peace by the ocean (because he is a swimmer he will probably understand it the most 👀). it has such a good vibe, i feel like it's totally his style.
