comedown
luke hemmings, 2021
recommended for james
“comedown” explores spiraling into loneliness and feeling like you aren’t needed, and i thought james might connect with those emotions. sometimes we just need to feel understood, and i hope this song can offer that through a really beautiful song :))
content note: mental health themes, emotional distress
a dios le pido
juanes, 2002
recommended for martin
latin rock has this way of immediately pulling you in. there are so many layers of sound, rhythm, and instrumentation that it almost feels like you can hear the different textures in the music. i think martin, and possibly keonho too, would really appreciate that.
just friends
jordy, 2018
recommended for james
since everyone keeps saying james looks like he’s straight out of twilight, i thought i’d recommend this to him. cuz this song is giving me such bella and jacob vibes from twilight. i hope everyone here will love this song.

fix you
coldplay, 2011
recommended for all of cortis
this is a song chris martin wrote about being there for someone going through hard times, and the lyrics have a certain warmth to them. some days in life are harder than others, and this is for one of those days. i just hope the members, or any coer who listens to this song, feel comforted by it.
falkor
covet, 2018
recommended for all of cortis & coer
falkor feels like getting swept into a little world of its own. the bright, intricate guitar work is constantly moving and changing, almost like every part is answering another, which makes it such a fun song to really listen into. i think cortis would especially appreciate how much personality and creativity covet can fit into an instrumental track. it feels playful, technical, dreamy, and completely alive without needing a single lyric.
you are the right one

a perfect song to vibe with and it reminds me of the end of the summer
content note: substance use
lost in blue
nightmare, 2008
recommended for martin & coer
it’s an alt-rock, visual kei song with a deep emotional meaning, portraying numbness, fake smiles, and the invisible walls that can make someone feel trapped while the world keeps moving. it’s also the opening theme for mōryō no hako, and i think martin might really like it; i’d recommend it to coer who are into this kind of music too.

my favourite midwest emo album. people who love this genre are probably already aware of this one, but those who aren’t should check it out. it’s beautiful

shelly, 2025
recommended for seonghyeon
you cannot convince me seonghyeon isn’t clairo. all jokes aside, he already listens to steeeam by shelly, just think this would suit him well.
